Occupational Therapist / Home Mod Eval
Christine is a graduate of Western Michigan University where she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Health Services with Distinction and a Master’s of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. Christine received her CBIS certification from The Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists and is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) through the National Association of Home Builders. She also has the distinction of attaining an Executive Certificate in Home Modification from The University of Southern California.
Christine is the Lead Occupational Therapist for M & M Home Care where she specializes in Home Modification Evaluations. Through skilled analysis of the client and their environment she creates recommendations in order to promote her client’s independence, safety and quality of life. Christine then coordinates with the client, builder, medical equipment supplier, case manager and physician to implement these recommendations.
In addition to home modification assessments Christine is experienced and skilled in the assessment and intervention of cognitive and neurological disorders, assessment of need for adaptive and or durable medical equipment, and assessment to determine attendant care and replacement service needs. As part of her therapeutic intervention she works diligently with the client, caregiver, and family as well as other treatment team members, such as physician and case manager, to increase safety and independence for her clients.
Christine plays a vital role within the treatment team whose ultimate goal is to find the right fit between patients’ abilities, needs and desired activities, and their home environment so her patients can live safely, independently and productively.

Alea completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Oakland University and furthered her skillset by completing a residency program specializing in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (OMPT). She is a teaching assistant in Oakland University’s doctoral of physical therapy program, and serves as a clinical instructor for students in the program as well. Alea believes that manual therapy in conjunction with specific functional exercises will improve the quality and function of patient’s lives.
